Five Weeks 14 September 2009

The last week has really done wonders for the knee. I am now able to bend my knee to a full 180 degrees. I am also able to lift my heel off the floor about 1 inch when locking my knee to the floor while sitting on the ground.

The knee doesn’t hurt much and I am able to go down stairs normally. I can even skip stairs now like I always used to do before the injury. I feel like I am ready to get back into training for sport again.

  1. Hi, I have been forwarded this by a collegue from Greece. I work for lars and introduced it to OZ a few years back. Im glad to see you are having great sucess with this and your determination to follow post op instructions such as icing is brilliant, so I hpoe others read this, and I hope you make a full recovery and return to sports. Take a look also at http://injuryupdate.com.au/ there were a few Lars posts ont here too.

  2. Thanks for the comment. I did see injury.com.au before I had my surgery but there wasn't much detail about the recovery with LARS on there. Some people talked about their surgery in a snapshot but I made this posts to help people be more informed about the whole recovery as this would have made my decision to do the LARs easier. I am sure glad you brought it over mate because the idea of still having limited mobility almost 6 weeks post op does not sound fun to me!!!

Thanks again and have a good day.
